Hepatitis is a general term meaning inflammation of the liver and can be caused by a variety of different viruses such as hepatitis A, B, C, D and E. One of the more common causes of acute hepatitis is hepatitis A virus (HAV). Hepatitis A is contracted at least 100 times more frequently than typhoid fever or cholera.
Anaemia is a condition in which the number of red blood cells or their oxygen-carrying capacity is insufficient to meet physiologic needs. Therefore anaemia may be due to low red cell mass or increased plasma volume.
Anemia is actually a sign of a disease process rather than a disease itself. It is usually classified as either chronic or acute.
